about

The Portland E-Bike Incentive Program is one of several programs developed by the City of Portland, Oregon to invest in its goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The program will give $20 million over five years to provide at least 6,000 electric bikes to low- and medium-income residents of Portland, Oregon.

objectives

To develop the websites and digital portals where Portland residents and administrators could participate in and monitor the Portland e-bike program. Through user research and close collaboration with the program developers, we established the neccessary functions of the websites, identified key users and the tasks they were visiting the site to complete, and mapped the flow of user events.

program development & site wireframing

Working closely with operations and program development, we mapped users' the intertwining journeys based on three distinct user types. These maps were used to identify key website functions and guide the development of intuitive site structures.

website design

With the product maps as a guide, I created hi-fidelity prototypes for the three websites, incorporating key elements from the City of Portland’s existing brand to create a seamless experience for Portland’s administrators and residents.

administrator portal

A password-protected portal where program administrators and City Officials can access program data, review applications, and interact with participating bike shops.

bike shop portal

A password-protected portal for participating bike shops to redeem vouchers, track payment status, and view their shop’s program-related sales.

Portland resident application site

A public website for Portland residents to apply for an e-bike voucher, learn about the program, and retrieve their voucher code.
